This book describes dielectric and mechanical relaxation in all types of materials from the point of view of molecular jumping processes. Dielectric and viscoelastic processes are discussed. Jumping mechanisms are applied to large stress fields to develop a molecular picture for important commercial properties of polymers. Experimental results for the small stress fields are compared to many theoretical results on polymers and polar liquids.
