Webinar: Screens and Screening in Extrusion

Presented by: Allan Griff, Griff Extrusion Seminars
Hosted & Moderated by: Nathan Potter, IDES Inc.
Date: July 27, 2007
Time: 2pm (EST)

Join Allan Griff, an extrusion consultant and educator who's been working with plastics extrusion since 1955 -- first as a technical service engineer with Union Carbide Plastics, and then independent since 1961. Allan is the author and publisher of The Plastics Extrusion Operating Manual and offers training and private consulting servicesincluding legal assistance.

About the Webinar
Screens are used for filtration, but also raise pressure in the last zone of the extruder and thus affect the process. Pressure is good for mixing but bad for temperature development. In this hour, we will discuss the materials and sizes of screens, how they are placed in the flow path, screen-changing procedure and equipment, and continuous screening. We will also note cases where screens are not used at all, often with good reason.

Mr. Griff will present for the first 45 minutes of the webinar, which will include a break for questions. At the conclusion of his presentation, we will host 15 minutes of questions and answers. All slides, questions and answers will be emailed to you one week after this event.

Register today to learn about screens and screening in extrusion!
After you reserve your seat, IDES will email you reminders with instructions on how to join this event on the web and over the phone.

Price: $99.00
